No, you do not need a prescription for sterilisation in Uganda,  but in order to evaluate your health status, a medical consultation is required. This is performed by a qualified health professional.

Yes. In Uganda, both men and women have to be aged 30 or older in order to undergo a sterilisation procedure.

A sterilisation procedure in Uganda can cost between 80,000 to 250,000 Ugandan shillings.
